Vanessa Hammick has worked as an actor, improviser and deviser for various theatre companies and has created original pieces with funding from ACE, ACW, the NHS, Mencap, Garfield Weston and Islington Council. She has delivered commissions for Croydon Council, Wyeside Arts Centre, Hillingdon Arts Trust, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Society and performed in Latvia and Italy.

She has co-created two theatre companies. Drawn to Stars Theatre Company was established in 2011 with Aimee Corbett, and pieces have included a 200-mile performative walk from Wales to London and an 8 week development project within a rural Welsh town.

Croydon Cycle Theatre was established in 2016 with Amy Foster, and they create cycle-based pieces of work to promote health, the environment and equality.
